Apart from the totaly unique feature of a solid 18 carat gold insole, Christopher has incorporated roman armoured technology from over 2000 years ago, to armour the sole of the empire brogues. He has achieved this by inserting phosphor bronze rods deep into the sole. This use of metal was first used by Roman soldiers and gladiators on thiere footwear in the form of metal hob nails, worn during battle or 25 mile a day route marches to surprise or out flank an enemy.

The use of the bronze armour in the exact same configuration as the roman sandals gives the brogue massive longevity, and if rotated with other footwear gives the possibility of a life time of style and luxury. However, in the event of wear or cosmetic damage all diamonds and gold fitting can transferred to a new pair quickly and easily at a cost of £600 pounds.
