CELEBRATING  HISTORIC BRITISH RACING GREEN HERITAGE

In 1903 was the birth of the historic and legendary British racing green colour, that all started with the “Gordon Bennett cup.” Gordon Bennett himself was a rich American who owned the New York herald newspaper, who sponsored a race in northern Island, as it was illegal to race cars in the United Kingdom at that time.

As a mark of respect all British racing cars were painted shamrock green for many years afterwards. It was then in 1905 followed by a race at the racing circuit “del le sarthe in le Mann’s France”, and the birth of modern Grand Prix racing as we know it today.
